What to put on an invoice
- A unique invoice number and the issue date.
- Your name or business name, address and contact details, plus a tax number if you are registered.
- Your client's name and address.
- A clear description of each item or service with quantity and price.
- Tax, if you charge it, and the total due.
- The due date and how to pay you.
Invoice or receipt: which one do you send?
Send an invoice when you want to be paid and a receipt once you have been. The invoice is the request and the tax record of the sale. The receipt only proves the money arrived. If a client pays on the spot, a receipt alone can be enough.
Mistakes that delay payment
- No due date, only "net 30".
- A client name that is not the name of the company that pays.
- Lines that say "services" with no description.
- No payment details, so the client has to ask.

Is my data stored on your servers?
No. The invoice is created in your browser. Your business details, saved clients and recent invoices are remembered only in your own browser storage, and you can delete them with one click.
Can I make an invoice in Arabic?
Yes. Choose Arabic as the document language and the whole invoice is mirrored right to left with Arabic labels. Arabic names, addresses and item descriptions print correctly even in an English invoice.
Can I add tax and a discount?
Yes. Use one tax rate on the total, or a different rate per line. The discount is taken off first and tax is calculated on the discounted amount.
Does it number my invoices automatically?
Yes. After you download an invoice, the next number is suggested for you (INV-001, INV-002 and so on) using the invoices saved on this device.
